Learners & New Members
e normally admit new members either
through a learners class where children from the age of 9 are tutored in
reading music and playing the flute or percussion instruments or both, or
by admitting people who already play. The present age group is
from about 9 years to retirement.
We offer our members a grounding in music to a very high standard, and each year we compete in the NIBA World Championships for Flute Bands. A contest we sometime soon would like to win.

Items for Sale
The Band has, over a few years, standardised most of it's instruments, and so we have a
number of surplus flutes that we no longer use. These instruments which are in very good condition, are
going to be offered for sale on a first come first served basis.
A list of instruments has been prepared and is available from
Alex upon request.
The band are also selling their old Street Uniform (see our photo gallery) which is in very good condition.

he band can be seen on Parade & in
Concert, during Park Engagements, Church Services, Ensembles & Charitable
Functions in and around the City & County of Londonderry. We offer
a wide spectrum of music with something for everybody. Our music
ranges through Hymn Tunes, Marches, Traditional Pieces, Jigs, Polkas,
Pop Songs, right the way through to Overtures and Classical Music.

e have access to a flute repair
service at very keen rates. Such things as repadding & replacement
of springs through to major overhauls are all catered for.
Does your instrument play like it did when it was new? Do you think
it might need serviced to return it to 'as good as new?' If you

ver the years we have built up a
very substantial Music Library. We would like to add to this
Library by offering arrangements of scores and parts on an exchange of
music basis. We are looking for arrangements to suit a championship
type band as well as music to be used in concerts. In return we can
offer music arranged for junior bands right up to championship standard.
